Get Involved In Our Pottery Workshops in Northern Ireland
Every Thursday and Saturday Loaf Pottery has a number of exciting pottery workshops to choose from. Our Paint Me Glaze Me sessions are popular with the kids, while our BYO Pizza Pottery sessions and intimate Beginner Wheel Throwing classes are a hit with the adults who are keen to learn a new skill. Beginner Wheel Throwing Sessions
Summer is the perfect time to spend time trying new things and catching up with friends. Our popular beginner wheel throwing sessions is the ideal activity for pottery fanatics and those who are keen on learning a new skill. This intimate activity can accommodate up to six people. Why not gather your friends together for a catchup while getting creative behind one of our potter's wheels.
Throughout this two hour session you will learn how to use your hands and tools to create your own ceramic pot and will be shown various wheel throwing techniques by one of our professional potters. After getting messy behind our wheel, you will be shown through to our cafe where you can enjoy a hot drink and tray bake in our stunning pottery garden in Crawfordsburn. We can't think of a better way to spend a Saturday this summer.
Our wheel throwing sessions cost £50 per person. Participants should bring an apron with them to keep clothes clean when using the potter's wheel. Spaces for our wheel throwing sessions book quickly - we recommend you book your space today to avoid disappointment!
Pottery Painting Classes
If you are thinking of ways to keep the kids busy this summer, come along to one of Loaf's pottery painting classes in Bangor. These sessions are a hit with people of all ages! During this session you will have a selection of pottery items to choose from, including dog bowls, mugs, bowls, vases and much more! After one of our professional potters you will take you through the process of how to decorate with engobes and create your very own unique design.
Our pottery painting sessions cost £20 per person. This price includes the pottery item of your choice, paints, the firing of your item and a drink of choice to enjoy while you decorate your ceramics.
BYO Pottery Painting Workshops
Loaf Pottery's pizza and pottery workshop is the ideal get together for a catchup with friends or the for a date night with your partner. These sessions take place every Thursday evening in Crawfordsburn.
During this session you will learn how to hand build your own ceramic pot and will be supplied with stencils to add your own personal flair to your design. After your pottery session you will be shown through to our cafe where you can enjoy a wood fired pizza with delicious toppings of your choice. In the summer evenings you can eat your pizza and drink your favourite bottle of wine in our pottery garden.
Our pizza and pottery workshops cost £45 per person. This price includes the your hand building session, the firing of your item and a wood fired pizza.
