Are the pizzas gluten free?

Accepted Answer

Our Pizzas are not gluten free, however we can provide a gluten free alternative which will be freshly prepared if you let us know in advance.

How long does the event last?

• Pizza and Pottery approx. 2.5 - 3 hours
 • Pottery Painting and Pizza approx. 2 - 3 hours
 • Paint Me Glaze me approx. 1-2 hours

Question 3

Are all the materials included in the price?

Accepted Answer

Yes, all of the materials used in your pottery session are included in the price.

Are the events suitable for children and adults?

Accepted Answer

• Our Pizza & Pottery, Pottery Painting & Pizza and Paint Me Glaze Me Events are available for children and adults.
 • Childern under the age of 12 must be companied by an adult
 • Our Pottery Wheel sessions are available for adults 18+ years

Is there parking on site?

Accepted Answer

There is free parking on the Main Street in Crawfordsburn, and there are 2 car parking spots at the back of the building for staff and customers

Question 6

Do I need to bring an apron and what should I wear?

Accepted Answer

• If you have booked a Pottery Wheel session, please bring an apron and towel.  
 • We would not recommend to wear any dark clothes as our clay is light in colour and will be very visible on darker cloths, although most of our activities are not too messy, apart from the Pottery Wheel session, in which you require an apron and a towel.
 • You will not need an apron for any of our other pottery sessions.

Question 7

Do I need to remove my jewellery and can I have long fingernails?

• Jewellery and long fingernails don’t go well with pottery. 
 • Please come with trimmed fingernails and remove and rings and watches.

Question 8

When will my pottery items be ready for collection?

Accepted Answer

We try our best to have all items ready within 3 to 4 weeks after the course took place.

Question 9

It has been 4 weeks. Why is my item not ready yet?

Accepted Answer

• Pottery items will be processed by several stages: complete drying, firing, glazing, glaze firing and sanding.
 • The process is quicker during summer months and a week longer during winter months
 • The process usually takes between 3-4 weeks but can take longer due to drying process. Especially thick items will have a longer drying time to avoid any cracks and breakage, which can happen when fired too early.

How do I collect my pottery items?

• Once your items are ready for collection you will receive a confirmation text from us. 
 • We can provide a shipping service for an additional charge. 
 • Please get in contact with the manager via potterystaff@loafcatering.com (mailto:potterystaff@loafcatering.com)for shipping.

What is the cancellation policy?

Accepted Answer

• Please note that we have a 7 days notice policy for rescheduling or cancelling bookings. 
 • Cancellations made with less than 7 days notice cannot be rescheduled or refunded, unless your place can be filled.

Question 12

If I can't make it to the event, can I change my booking to another date?

Accepted Answer

• You can change your booking to any other date, if you notify the manager at least 7 days in advance of the event. 
 • Any changes made within less than 7 days’ notice can only be rescheduled or refunded if your place can be filled. 
 • An admin fee per person will apply. You can get in contact with the manager via potterystaff@loafcatering.com (We can provide a shipping service for an additional charge. Please get in contact with the manager via potterystaff@loafcatering.com for organising.)

Question 13

Can I collect my pottery after 3 months? / What happens to my pottery if I don’t collect it within 3 months?

Accepted Answer

Unfortunately, we are not able to store uncollected items in our pottery more than 3 months. You can always organise your items to be shipped via our courier. Please contact the manager to organise shipping via potterystaff@loafcatering.com(mailto:potterystaff@loafcatering.com)

Can I pay my event ticket on the day?

All our events need to be booked though our website and cannot be paid in person unless discussed otherwise with the manager.

Private Events information:

• All private events need to be paid in full upfront. One ticket covers a small nonrefundable deposit.

Question 15

Can I bring my own drink/ wine/ beer?

Accepted Answer

You can bring your own drinks along to any of our events. You are also able to purchase drinks in our café on site. Wine/ Prosecco glasses can be provided free of charge.

Question 16

Can I bring a birthday cake?

Accepted Answer

You can bring your own birthday cake free of charge to the event. Any other food cannot be brought to the events. We will provide plates and cutlery if needed.

Can Loaf provide catering for a private event?
